Meet The Team

Tech Hose remains a family business with Richard, Karen, Chris, Rebecca and Chris' wife Kelly forming a tight-knit centre of the Tech Hose team. However, we also feel that all our staff are part of the wider Tech Hose family and believe firmly that a happy and content workforce can only enhance the service and support we give to our customers. The Tech Hose team offer a vast amount of knowledge, experience and enthusiasm and are always happy to help. We also encourage our staff to be able to cover for and support other members of staff so that Tech Hose can always ensure continuity of support and service.

Warehouse/Trade Counter

Richard

Always busy and dedicated to his work but also dedicated to his other passion, football. Richard is a very keen Plymouth Argyle season-ticket holder and is a proud Plymothian. He is also delighted that Tech Hose is a sponsor of Plymouth Argyle. He loves spending time with his grandchildren and getting away in his caravan with Karen when work allows.
Chris

Often found on the Trade Counter from early morning to late evening but when he does escape he enjoys all things rugby. He is also a season ticket holder at Gloucester Rugby. He enjoys spending time with his two sons, and also getting away in his caravan with wife Kelly and their dog Hank.
Keith

Out in the warehouse Keith is often responsible for assembling hoses and fittings for trade counter and production customers. Away from Tech Hose Keith enjoys his work as Groundsman(?) for Dymock Cricket Club, as well as playing for them (weather permitting!) and spending time in his garden.
Simon

Often busy in the warehouse with many different hats, and our resident E-Bike delivery cyclist on Tech Hose’s Babboe Cargo Bike. Even away from Tech Hose he is often on two wheels, or running around the roads and fields of Hereford. He is also a keen gardener and walker of his Bedlington Terrier.
Wes

He is most often found now covering our Trade Counter having spent the last year learning his trade in hose assemblies. When he isn’t at work – he enjoys travelling around on his motorbike and watching Chelsea football club.
Dana

Likes to keep himself busy! Either in work or at the gym. Dana also enjoys boxing and football in his spare time. His favourite football team is Man Utd, Dana main roles at Tech Hose is Goods Inwards, but also helps with despatch items

Karen

She is never far from paperwork, whether work or domestic, but wouldn’t have it any other way! If she has any free time, she enjoys spending time in the garden and attending concerts, as she loves music, and spending time with her parents and her grandchildren.
Rebecca

Has a desk which would suggest she is also never far from paperwork but approaches it in a slightly different way to Karen! Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her husband, two children and labrador Lola. She is a season ticket holder at Gloucester Rugby and enjoys watching sports where she can.
Kelly

In the office she is often answering the phones and chasing down receipts and invoices to process. Outside of the office she enjoys spending time with her family, her sons and occasionally her husband! She would like to get away in her caravan more than she does, and is enjoying getting stuck into decorating her new house.

In 1985 Richard and his father-in-law Ian began running Tech Hose from Ian's garage in Ross on Wye, with Richard's wife Karen looking after the paperwork along with managing a young family. Nearly 40 years later, the location and size of the business has changed, but the heart of the business has not. Richard and Karen are still very much involved in the day to day running of the business with their children Chris and Rebecca also managing the busy and industrious site on Rotherwas Industrial Estate in Hereford. Tech Hose is now one of the UK's leading suppliers of all types of hydraulic and industrial hose and ancillary equipment. We have built a strong local customer base but our reputation for fast and effective service has attracted many new customers from across the UK and Europe.
